New improved features include:
• A lighter, stronger & sleeker pedal body
• Allen key type replacement pins
• Fully chromed axle – including bearing surfaces
• External ‘splash guard’ seal with internal ‘o’ring
• Internal double lip seal
The pedal spins on 2 types of bearing, (as per the previous model),
the cartridge bearing, which is underneath the alloy end cap, is a sealed unit
which requires no servicing & is easily replaced when & if necessary. The bearing
at the crank arm end is a plain bearing or a bush, which is easy to service or replace
as & when necessary.
The pedal is double sealed at the crank arm end (see points 4 +5 above.),
with an external ‘splash guard’ with an internal ‘o’ring & with an internal double
lip seal. Better sealing with these new seals combined with the fully chromed axle
will mean that the pedals run a lot smoother for a lot longer than any other platform
pedal available.
