The Minion DHR was engineered to meet the demands of the UCI World Cup downhill races. Designed by our European racing development effort, Team Maxxis-MSC. The Minion DHR features ramped knobs, like the Minion DH Front, but the channels in the knobs are designed to provide low rolling resistance.

To summarise the Minion, DH F gives better grip and traction whereas the DH R provides low rolling resistance for faster speeds.

Dual Ply Sidewalls! Two 60 tpi (threads per inch) casings vulcanized with butyl rubber reinforced sidewalls construct Maxxis dual play downhill casings, which are world renowned for performance and reliability.

Compounds! 42a SuperTacky or 60a MaxxPro - SuperTacky tyres are much softer to provide superior grip although they are less durable than the MaxxPro. The MaxxPro compound does not provide as much grip as the SuperTacky however durability is much greater. SuperTacky tyres are a must for thorough bred racers come race day and MaxxPro is the best option for 'fit and forget' weekend warriors.
