I need to return goods for a refund or an exchange?

No problems as long as the goods have not been fitted or used, just send the goods back within the twelve months of the purchase. Please make sure all goods are in the original packaging and sent back with plenty of bubble wrap on. To speed up your return the goods should be accompanied with a small note stating your full name and address, telephone number, e-mail and what's happening! Please note that postage is none refundable.

I have a part missing from my item?

Sometimes Hensley or Buzz our dogs open the deliveries when we are busy and have been known to swallow the odd nut and bolt. You want to return an item under warranty?

All goods purchased from Descent-Gear.com are coved by a full U.K warranty, we don't purchase OEM products, only from their authorised U.K distributor. In lay mans terms, warranties cover manufacturing defects and faults including poor workmanship.

If you feel that the product you have purchased from Descenet-Gear.com has a fault then please contact us before returning goods as many problems may be solved without you having to shell out of your own back pocket for postage.

All returns will be sent back to the U.K distributor for inspection before a replacement or repair can happen. Therefore please can we ask you to be patient as the U.K disty may not be as quick as you and me and they make take ten working days to get your goods back to us. We will of course keep you upto date on the status of your goods. All replacements from suppliers are subject to stock availability and we may well offer you an alternative.

Descent-Gear.com does not warrant against failure or damage due to misuse such as, but not limited to incorrect installation, poor maintenance, abuse or neglect, using the product for something other than its intended purpose, altering the product unless expressly permitted in writing by Descent-Gear.com.

Descent-Gear.com does not cover general wear and tear on tyres, inner tubes,brakes, brake and gear cables, brake pads, light bulbs, chain rings, chains, cassettes, rims, batteries, corrosion and or deterioration caused by materialfatigue defined as the natural breakdown of materials that occurs after extended use will not be covered under warranty.

After the initial 30 day period Descent-Gear.com reserve the right to repair or replace any defective part under warranty. Warranty is non transferrable and applies to the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase is required with all potential warranty claims. Any item that is repaired or replaced under warranty will be covered by a period equal to the remaining warranty period of the original part.

Usage during competitions, races, practice, events, circuits or activities other than those for which the bicycle or components has been conceived will greatly reduce its useful life and is not covered under warranty. Costs incurred as a result of loss of use, as well as labour charges for part replacement or changeovers are not covered by Descent-Gear.com.

If near the end of a given warranty period and a repair or replacement is not possible Descent-Gear.com reserve the right to offer a partial refund proportional to the remaining life of the goods or an alternative of equal or greater value colour or size may well vary.

Descent-Gear.com always recommend  that the install, repair and use your product in strict compliance with the products instructions. Failure to do so might damage the products and cause a serious accident.
